Stewed Beef in Hungarian Style

Product Used:  4-in-1 Multi-functional tacook Rice Cooker (JAJ-A55S)

**Ingredients
Beef Ribs 300g
Onion 120g
Potato 120g
Carrot 80g
Smashed Garlic 1 tbsp
Broth 300cc
Unsalted Butter 20g
Bay Leaf 2pcs
High-gluten Flour a little

**Marinating the beef ribs
Black Pepper 1tsp
Salt 1tsp
(Hungarian) Paprika 1tsp

**Seasonings
Smashed tomato 100g
(Hungarian) Paprika 1tbsp
Black Pepper 0.5tsp
Salt 1tsp
Sugar 1tsp

**Steps
1. Washed the beef ribs, cut into pieces (around 5cm)
2. Marinate the beef ribs for 20mins
3. Roll cut potatoes, onions and carrots
4. Scatter a little high-gluten flour to the beef ribs before pan frying
5. Add oil to the pan, fry the ribs to medium, take them out from the pan
6. Use the same pan to fry onions, add garlic when the onions is done
7. Add beef ribs, potatoes and carrots
8. Place (7) into the rice cooker inner pot
9. Add seasonings accordingly (paprika, black pepper, smashed tomato, salt, sugar, bay leaf, broth)
10. Place the inner pot into the rice cooker
11. Choose “Mixed-Sweet” function, press “Start”
12. Ready to serve when “beep beep” sound

**TIPS
- Adding flour to the ribs before pan frying can make the ribs tender. It also helps to make a thicker sauce.
- The pan must be hot enough to keep the juiciness of the ribs. If there are too many ribs, pan fry them in batches.
